今月末まで開催予定だった京都在住のメキシコ人建築家Cecilia R. Corzoさんによる雲と水をテーマにした"BÓIA展"ですが、好評につき10月末まで延長することになりました。ようやく緊急事態宣言も解除され、外出が心地よい季節になってきましたので、もし近隣へお越しのことがございましたら、ぜひお立ち寄りください。
Ceciliaさんが改装デザインされた西陣エリアの町家が、海外の建築アートの記事で取り上げてられています。以前は工房として使われていたそうですが、日本家屋の良いところはそのままに、そして外国人ならではの視点で斬新に改装されています。なんと町家の中に滑り台があり、テレビ番組でも取り上げられていました。現在、入居者募集中のようですので、ご興味おありの方はコンタクトしてみてくださいね。

Cecilia renovated an old townhouse in Nishijin Area, Kyoto, last year. Nishijin is famous for the kimono and obi belt manufacture and the building used to be a manufacturing studio. She made it reborn traditionally yet novelly. Guess what, she created a slide inside!
